Family Of Thakurganj Movie Review

It’s a tale about two siblings living in a tiny town in Uttar Pradesh (UP) in Thakurganj. Both Nunnu (Jimmy Sheirgill) and Munnu (Nandish Singh) have distinct beliefs and the other sibling is honest and law-abiding while one takes the law into his hands. Nunnu takes the obligation of the whole family on his shoulders after the sudden death of their father and quickly becomes a renowned goon called Thakurganj’s Bhaiya ji. The extortion company is also run effectively by both Bhaiya ji and his wife Sharbati (Mahie Gill). Their life takes a turn when violence begins to affect their private lives throughout the city. Family can either be legal or bring the law into their own hands to cope with the scenario.

The tale of Writer Dilip Shukla is quite average, the larger issue here is the weakly woven plot. But again, the performances are the ones that will keep you hooked, not the narrative. As the energy cow goon, Sheirgill nails it, and Sharbati (Mahie Gill), as the dominant spouse of Jimmy, is compelling. Saurabh Shukla pulls off good performances as a goon and Supriya playing mother to the kids.

With a good idea at hand, it might have involved the spectators if the director had concentrated on maintaining the tale tight. The duration of the film is difficult, even humor and one-liners are not helping to keep the film afloat.
